Tomatoes are two inches high

The tomato seeds I planted January 19, 2010 are now 2 inches high! Now they will start growing like crazy. All of this sun in Calgary is making them very happy. Taking tomato seedlings to my doctor tomorrow. I have too many seedlings for as much room as I have. The seed were 100% germination rate, so last falls collection went very well. I hope you are finding good results with yours. The seedlings in the back are Basil; might as well use the space in the big pots while I can.
Happy Tomatoes!

First Seedling

First Tomato Seedling was up this morning! Planted directly in Large Pot, January 19, 2010. For those still waiting for them to put up their little heads, be patient; can take up to 3 weeks. If anyone still wants some Heirloom Stupice Tomato seeds, I still have some seeds left that I gathered last year.

Potting tips and planting now.

Planting Tomato Seeds. Now is the time to plant. Nice thing to do with winter all around us. Anyone else out there want some?

Potting Tip. If you have pots that are frozen with soil outside. Pour three or four kettles of boiling water on the soil, and let them drain. Then bring them in. They will be warmed and sterilized at the same time! Ready to plant your seeds.
